Started to just add my pics to richards post but didn't want to horn in on his post, his posts are a way better than mind.We did have a great day at the range as usual. Richard let me try 5 shots with the 175 red hots and they shot great.Have pics and info on what I tried today. The a2015 was slow but think if I wanted to use it I could go on up in grs and get better grouping.I used 72 grs today from shooters sugestion. The N110-15gr/H322-55 grs is a duplex that richard came up with last year and it shot a pretty good group at 300 yds with the 200 sst's. I didn't shoot all that many shots but did try the sabotless 200 ftx and the 195 red hots.

Yup, that 175 red hot group is "red hot"! Good name for that bullet! Seeing a group in a line like that one makes me wonder what the group would have looked like if you had fired 10 shots..........longer line? Maybe the next five would have stayed within the existing line of hits too? It always makes me wonder when i see a group like that and i normally have to shoot a few more till one goes elsewhere. ;D

Thanks Herman, I can actually remember seeing that group in another post not too long ago. Makes me wish I had some N110. I've got the H322.

:)herman I used to shoot the 175's with 63grs of h-4198 into itty bitty holes. When they were discontinued I stop shooting them. I shot many deer with them and they performed perfectly. The only thing I didn't like about them is they dropped slot more then the 195's out at 300yrds shot at the same speed. If I was to shoot them again a would bump up the charge or duplex. Anything slower then 4198 is just not going to be stable. Very nice shooting and that group at 300yrds is amazing.

Dave I would have liked to have enough of the 175's just to try at 200and 300 but since they are not being made anymore don't think I am going to buy any.I think I can get the 195's to shoot better but if I don't I have plenty of the 200 sst's which I think I like a lot better for deer around here.Haven't shot many of the 195's tho. Shooter I hope everyone has as much fun shooting as richard, bill and myself do. We went to a 600 yd shoot saturday and it was so cold,my hands were froze, even let one shot get away from me because I didn't feel the trigger. It's a long time now till deer season again so we have plenty of time to try a lot of different things in the 45.Bet richard has already thought up more loads to try. Just got back from the gun shop he hadn't gotten any of the 200 xtps in yet but did get some 180's so picked up a box of them to try.
