I fitted my 700ml into a 700adl wood stock, anyone know the type of sling swivel I should use to span the the ramrod or where I can purchase these. I read a post on this but can't seem to find it now. I think some of the old military styles would work if I could locate some. This is a great place for great imformation, by the way I took my 700ml to have the conversion to 32 auto done, I will post results when I get a chance to try it out.

Kenny, I used the standard front swivel stud and countersink knurled nut. I cut the nut using only the knurled part. Trimmed the stud. Counterbored the stock with a 5/8" Forstner bit to the bottom of the ram rod bore and then bored a 3/8" hole to a depth leaving about 5/32" of wood. Set it in JB weld epoxy and then ground with a moto tool to clearance the ram rod. So far so good. Isn't the wood stock awesome?

Thanks for the help, I plan om glass bedding this gun including the ramrod. I think the glass bedding will hold the knurled part just fine. Do you agree wiyh me? I love the wooden stock also, the one I used must have been an older type because it has the 4 hole butt pad, the balance is much better. Thanks Again for the help.
