Are there any "Doc" White Rifle shooters here on the Green board?
Can anyone enlighten as to the different models made etc, and any info on what was considered to be the most accurate models.
Thanks, Pocampo

:)There's me, but I shoot PacNor 40 and 45s. ;D I think the 40 is the more accurate.

Had a 45 White once. Heavy recoil, hard to get/find boolits, got the 209 BP and it was a mess and had to go back to #11s, didn't shoot any better than my Firehawk. Sold long ago. 10 ga

I have owned several Whites over the years! I still have a couple of Whites in my collection somewhere although i would have to search for them. I can't remember too many details about them other than they are both stainless and are both in laminated gray stocks. I have spare NIB Boyds laminated thumb-hole stocks (nutmeg color) for both of them, but have never mounted them. One of the rifles is called a Super 91 and i think is a .50 caliber. The other one is called something like a Thunderbolt IIRC and i think it is a .45? I know, i know..........that is ridiculously sad to not even know what i own for sure! I am a little ashamed of it myself, but i have owned so many firearms over the years, it is hard to keep track of them all. If you are really interested in specifics, i will search the gun safes and try to find both of them. I do know that for a long time "Doc" and i spoke on the phone and i actually bought both of these rifles from him as they were his own personal rifles. As i recall, he signed both of these rifles, or stamped his initials or something like that in the receiver of each rifle. He and i talked about going on a wild boar hunt down in Missouri or Arkansas for a long time, but never got around to it. I still have a bunch of White bullets, cleaning supplies and other stuff that go with these rifles, but there again, i would have to search to find them! ;D Let me know if you would like specifics and i'll pull them out. I am interested in a 91 .504 White. Would be interested more in the thumbhole stock rather than the laminated one. If you are interested in selling I would appreciate a rough estimate of what you need or think the rifles are worth to you. I am working with Doc now on one but am always interested in other offers. Thanks, Keith Lewis my email klewisinc@msn.com
