Tried to shoot some BH209 in my Knight MK85 with the 209 primer conversion kit but it wouldn't ignite. Actually the first shot was a hang fire, but 3 spent 209 primers wouldn't fire the second load so I disassembled the rifle, removed everything, reloaded with Triple 7 and continued on. The instructions did suggest Federal 209A or CCI Magnum, I was using some Winchester 209 so evidentally it either doesn't like my breech plug or the primer. The plug does have a .036" flash hole which I believe should be enough. I'll try another day with some different primers.

Unless your rifle has a sealed 209 system BH209 will not ignite reliably. Look at the back of the container and it shows what type is recommended.
