Does anyone know where I could find a 45 cal Rem 700 ML? Either the complete gun or at least a barrel. I know they haven't been made for years but I do still occasionally see a new 50 cal for sale but I'm looking for a 45.

Check out E-Gunparts.com . The last time I checked they had all the .45 barreled actions you want for $305.00. They are sold out of .50's. Good Luck!

Is that for a barreled action? I saw that and thought it was just the barrel.

It says Barrel assembly as opposed to barrel. I'd say that is the barrel and bare action. I would not consider a barrel an assembly. I guess it's their interpretation and not mine. I hope it's what you're looking for.

That makes sense, I thought that was awful high for just a barrel. The other parts are reasonably priced and that just seemed out of line for a barrel. If the assembly is a receiver and barrel then it's reasonable. I'll give them a call tomorrow and find out what all is included in an assembly.

Good Luck! Are you thinking about converting it to use the small rifle primers? I think that the BH 209 will bring a resurgence of the .45 calibers. BH 209 needs back pressure almost along the lines of a smokeless ML. The .45 should fill the bill. I don't think that Hodgdon will take the popularity of BH209 nor the market share lying down.I seriously look for them to introduce something new like BH209 without the quirks. I have a rough time with the 209's crudding up the breech plug. That's why I'm still using T7.With the .32ACP conversion the crud ring in the bore is nearly gone in my 700 ML's.

So far I haven't noticed a crud ring with my 700 ML and BH209, but then I've only shot 8 or 9 loads through it to sight it in. Last shot loaded the same if not a little easier than the first in a clean dry bore, the residue seems to act as a dry lube for the sabot. I think my next conversion will use a .25 acp case with a rifle primer. Should be a little more consistant.

That's a decent deal if it comes with the bolt. Mines been very accurate with just about everything.
If you need a stock, just holler, have a couple of bare ones kicking around here someplace.

I don't think it comes with a bolt assembly as they are listed too. I'll find out today.

Blackhawk, You're correct, but you can use your modified bolt from your other rifle and possibly your breechplug too. Hey, you can only use one at a time. Good luck grabbing up your.45 700ML.I looked through my collection of Remington catalogs and see that they were manufactured from 2002 thru 2004. Once the secret's out they are going to go fast. Three years of production isn't a whole lot of rifles. I remember when they were on the racks, they were the last to go. It's funny how everything comes full circle.

I talked to E-gunparts today, the barrel assembly is a barrel and receiver only. No bolt, sights or anything else. Of course I could transfer the missing parts from one of my 50 cals to make a complete rifle.

just a thought, but another option could be to look for a cheap (well, they use to be cheap) 700ml and just rebarrel it with a custom tube.

If you decide to go with the 45 barreled action, try buying direct from remington arms. Their web site shows them for around 230.00
