Yesterday (10/15) A buddy of mine took Old Betsy with him since I had to work. He has a 45 Knight Disc Extreme, but wanted to use mine because I have raved about it. Well lets just say he is a believer now. He shot the first deer at about 40yds between the shoulder blades and the second at about 70yds. He said the first one fell like a brick and the second fell after about 15yds with a dead center shoulder shot. He recovered the bullet from the first one and said it looks perfect, the second was a complete pass thru. I'll post the pic when I see him.
I use 250gr. XTP's (non-mag)
P.S. He shot the deer in the pouring rain and had no misfires, and the Knight misfired the first time.

That is a pretty good way of making converts. Seeing is believing. I forgot to load mine this morning before leaving camp. By time I got to my stand the end of the barrel was covered with moisture because of heavy dewfall and wet leaves on the trail. I loaded it normally and did not fire it. When I got back to camp I figured I had better shoot it in case I had a bunch of moisture go in with the load. Fired perfectly and I slaughtered about a million fire ants. (A 210gr bullet at about 2700fps makes those mounds explode big time!)
