Interesting. Someone shoot a deer with one of these things. How far away was that target? That target was 96 yards and no one has ever shot them before. That is a brand new bullet. I don't think he will sell them with out knowing how they do on game. He possibly might score the the bottom of the petals so the steel comes apart like the Brass bullets.

Wonder how fast one could make that bullet run with accuracy out of a smokeless rifle....hmm Interesting~!

Are these .40 or .45. I would assume with smokeless, we will need a very tight fit since this bullet probably won't "move" much and in sabotless it would be impossible to knurl for fit.
Yes, this is interesting. Wonder how they carry their speed out beyond 100 yds. Is this your only group or have you really wrung them out?
As for riflemans comment....I had a duplex that pushed 185 gr .451's at 3150 fps that did not blow MMP short sabots and also grouped good enough that it showed promise. BUT...it was a horrible deer bullet at this speed and was shaped like a broken brick. This bullet, being steel would at least keep its integrity...or if fractured...keep 3 or 4 major peices making wounds.
I would try them on deer during doe season if I could get them to shoot like that....all of my shots would be under 100 yds and done right.
