I have a new Electra. From what I can find out, the Power Belt bullets are what Electra shooters are using. (great 3 shot groups out to 200yds) I have not been impressed with the PBb before. I have used the Hornady SST in my other MLs. Has anyone tried the SSTs in the Electra? I 'heard' the Bergara barrel is tight. The SSTs are already tight in my Encore.

As with any gun you just have to try stuff. One of my friends has a .45 break open...can't remember the brand. It shoots the power belts about the same POA at 100 yds as it does the 200 SST's. With decent 3-4 inch groups
He carries a few PB's with him and uses them for his reload after shooting a deer because they go down a fouled bore well without swabbing. When we do coordinated drives in the late season for does it is very common to double. One day 7-8 years ago, 4 of us doubled on the same drive and I almost tripled but did not shoot because one of my "10 holed" does ran out of sight and I didn't want to track 2....I should have done it in hindsight cause she was missing her heart.
As for long range shooting, PB's being launched at BP speeds wouldn't be my first choice....but I've never done it and probably never will.

I haven't tried the heavier SST's yet but my Electra really likes the 200gr SST sold by T/C.

What load were you using with the 200 SSTs? I shot my Electra at 50yd of portable bench with Harris bipod and sandbagged stock . 110 gr. loose Pyrodex and 250 sst went in 7/8 inch, with 110 gr. 777 went into 3/4(two in same hole). Had planned to shoot and experiment more but tore ligament in knee. (Anybody know of a camo setup for electric wheelchair. LOL) I was concerned about how tight the barrel was in the E as compared to my Encore. It was about the same. Tight fit. Takes pressure to load but acceptable.

I've only been out once with my Electra and only had time to try one load. It's the same load blackhawk had good luck with. 2 White hot pellets and 200gr Shockwave. When I did my part it would group moa out to 200. It sounds like the loads you've tried have potential also. I look forward to trying other loads through this gun. So far I'm very impressed.
