Hello Ladies and Gentlemen. I’m an old member who purchased my Savage MLII a long time ago. I have been using a load and bullet that has put down (almost instantly) every deer that I have shot.
My wife is now wanting to hunt with me and shoot the Savage, so a friend of mine gave me a duplex recipe for 250gr bullets. My question is this: Has anyone used or is still using the Hornady MonoFlex Bullets 45-70 Government (458 Diameter) 250 Grain Flex Tip Expanding Flat Base Lead-Free with the black wad?
My Savage loves .458 rounds (300gr) with the black wads, and I was just wondering how these shoot out of our MLII’s.
