I suspect carbon buildup in the BP is the culprit. Not all 209 primers have the same dimension.

The carbon has built to fit the Win and the lip of the Fed is .005 thinner than the Win. So it would leak some and after I clean my BP it take a few rounds to seal back up. I use only the Win in mine all of the time.

A ball of steel wool packed in the primer pocket and us a small flat head screw driver to turn the ball. Or use a large rifle primer pocket cleaner on a cordless drill or case prep station. It's smaller than the 209 primer but you can wallow it around a bit.

A drill bit turned with your fingers. If you use any solvents make sure to blow them dry or it foul the powder.

IIRC it takes a 5/32 drill bit hand held only. Do not use an electric drill.

Winchester 209s are a lot cleaner and have nearly as much power as Fed 209As. Size āCā drill bit.
