Anyone shooting these? Any hair test with either one ? Got my new bolt gun shooting the Fury st2 but you know a guy is always looking for something else lol. BTW my new gun is shooting around 2750fps . Sounds like from what I've read that might be a little hot for the Black max?

I have 275 grain Match Hunters that I got for a .45 that is to be used sabotless. The prior owner said only to use them with the high shoulder shot, because of that limitation I have not used them that I can recall.

I've shot a couple of each and they shoot fantastic, but no hair tests. I'm using the ST2 also and they shoot fantastic too. I have done a dozen or so hair tests with the ST2, they kill.

Kinda matters just what you like bullet preformance to be regarding that answer . Those 2 are night and day different fot how they work . The black max at 2700fps is gonna blow up inside that deers chest violently with no exit usually . Its really a bh209 bullet . BUT a deer chest shot with that type of bullet Die Quick in my experiance . Quicker that the textbook mushroom that exits . All energy is Dumped inside . Its a pointy-er Ballistic Extreme is actually what it is . Lungs and heart pour out like soup . Kinda hard to run far that way .
The Match hunter is alot tougher bullet . ALOT tougher !!! Bone is what theyre good at breaking clear through both shoulders . Not much dmage done for chest shots but ive seen them also break up and loose the jacket too in that shot . Im not a fan of the bullet or that shoulder shot . Alot of meat gets wasted everywhere . Backstraps are like gold and bloodshot ones ......im Not Happy with . At ALL !!!
Moral of the story is keep the Fury . Overall its much better .

Yep I tried the Match Hunter shot good at 100 yards not so good at 200 yards . I will stay with the Fury in this new gun. I've shot just about everything through it and it likes the Fury the best , regular Pittman 2nd.
