I got a big surprise when I came home tonight I ordered a Horton Vision Crossbow on Thursday and delivery wasn't until next week...but it was waiting for me tonight ;D www.crossbow.com/vision175crossbowI had some things to do so I just got it set up but have not shot it. I am very impressed with how well it balances. The balance point is just forward of the trigger guard. I can hold it one handed and sight it in at 10 yards( with a little difficulty ), but with one finger on my left hand it is rock solid The scope that came with it is fairly long, like a short rifle scope which may take some getting used to. I do like that the stadia lines are black when off and either Red or Green when on. I'll get the scope level and take some shots tomorrow...with a little luck. The bow is pretty narrow, 19 inches outside the cams when relaxed. Not counting the stirrup it is just under 29 inches long and just over 34 counting the stirrup. Fit and finish.....the camo looks nice, but the parting line on the molded stock is similar to the Savage Tupperware stock. IMO, if they spent 30 seconds sanding the parting line they would have made it very nice. edge.

Edge, he's helped me too. I hope you have a ton of fun with it. Um.....am I crazy, or is the bow part 'backwards'?? It's sure backwards compared to mine. Now you are set. No, wait. Surely you remember starting in the ML business, right? You know what came next, right? Now you will need: bolts (carbon or not?) practice broadheads field broadheads extra field points blade sharpener cocking aid rope case shoulder strap string wax target (oh golly, the choices....you'll end up with about three) small case for all the junk oh, and a .357 magnum pistol. Why you ask? Well golly gee, dude, you ain't gonna go out into the wild and risk getting eaten by a Heffalump without firepower stuck in your pants, are you??? Hope you're employed!

The suspense was killing me so I had to take a shot before work this morning First there is no way to cock the bow without the mechanical cocking rope due to the extreme string angle so I will buy a backup for that! Shooting at 10 yards to set the scope made it obvious how much less energy this bow has vs the Stryker! It still has a lot more energy than my compound so that is not a problem As mentioned previously the balance on this bow is excellent and the arrow hit within an inch of POA. If the rain holds off I may get to finish sight in at long range tonight. edge.

Ain't they fun?
I have the Barnett Predator and after blowing one up, I think I'm ok now. 375 fps, and 17" wide, if it works I'm tickled. I've hit the block target out to 80 yards without effort. Mostly if I concentrate, it's just dead on bullseye. There's a ton of 'em out there that are good now. Mine is a bit lighter than the expensive parkers or excaliburs, which is what I wanted.
Ye Olde Archery Shoppe is where I got mine, online.
Edge, have you gotten all those accouterments yet? If not, you will.

Congratulations on your new Crossbow, Edge. That makes two nice bows you've got now. The balance is great on those reverse limb bows.
