First off, I had to have an eye test to continue in my line of work. Normally my regular optometrist was booked solid to August which was unacceptable. Okay another course of action was to take up my Brother’s offer to have my Niece do the testing required as it turns out she’s an optometrist. She was really accommodating with scheduling me quickly. First part of my trip was a 1hr drive to my Brother’s home and then another 1hr drive to my Niece’s location to have my eyes tested. Now here I was impressed with the equipment that assisted testing my eyes. Separate tests were done and the equipment used was linked to a computer that generated graphic images of my eyes. I was impressed with seeing what the images revealed. My Niece even showed me what diabetic damage looked like and it turns out I have no trace of diabetic damage. My eyes hadn’t changed much in the last few years and still basically is 20/20 vision which of course is good news. Now my current frames are not in great shape so I looked at what their store offered. I really like their titanium frames but felt they might out of the price range of my budget. My Niece who has a loving soul made them fit my price range. Of course, new lenses needed to be cut to fit the frame but what surprised me was that she included no glare conditioning at no cost. Boy this really felt like my lucky day.
Afterwards we all went to a restaurant called “The Hungry Dragon” and enjoyed a meal together as a family. It was a great all-around day.
