Is there much accuracy difference between a Long Range Hunter and a Elite? Pros and cons comparing the two. I have been thinking of taking advantage on one of the deals out there. Is the Long Range Hunter worth the extra money?

I can really only speak about the LRH....I have one in LH and it is a spectacular rifle....the only negative I can think of is that it is a bit on the heavy/bulky side....great in a tree stand but I wouldn't want to carry one up an ELk mountain!

The Elite will be the better all around choice. Accuracy, stock, cleaning, weight, cheaper.

im not real fond of the extra safety device located on the hammer of the LRH, just something else to think about in the heat of the moment

I ordered the Elite. Like I need another muzzleloader. What is the favorite fodder for these rifles. I am hoping a 200 grain SST in a Harvestor sabot will work well. Hopefully Blackhorn 209 will ignite well. Does anyone know what size scope bases I need?

Yankee, I'm confused. I've got a LRH and I don't have a clue what you are talking about on the extra safety. Knights (MK 85, T-bolt, Bighorn, Disc (all models) wolverine have all got the secondary safety if that's what you are talking about. I take it off except when raising or lowering the rifle into the stand. If you are talking about something else that I'm not aware of please enlighten me
