I was given a Knight Disc .50 cal stainless steel. The gun is in great shape with a clean bore. I have never owned or shot a Knight. Is this a good gun? No accessories came with it but appears discs are still available. Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks.

May be one of the greatest BP guns ever made. Graduated from this gun when the Savage came out. Sold it to a guy in camp. Still killing deer every year. Very accurate. loved the screw safety. Has a great trigger and very accurate. Would recommend shooting .458 bullets in a harv CR sabot. Tight loading but that is what helps consistency. I miss mine.

current load being used in my old sold gun is 90 gr weight BH209, 325 FTX in Harv CR sabot. 2100 fps and sub MOA out to 200 yds. My gun was and is a tack driver. More accurate than my savage which is still minute of deer vitals at 200 yds.

There is a DISC and a DISC Extreme/Elite. They use different types of full plastic jackets and plugs/bolt. I would not recommend BH209 in either without some upgrades to bare primer. Currently you can buy a brand spanking new Extreme for about $400 shipped from Knight.
