Anyone else been messing with these?
I have shot about 20 now.
Zeroed them in my savage 45 28” and brake using bh209 (105 gr by weight)
Then I stretched them out on steal.
Hits at
300 414 460 615
With very little work so far in decent wind.
I am not a fan of powerbelts plated style bullets but the one mule deer I saw shot at 460 yards with the cva paramount had really good performance.
I really wanted something that would be more consistent in a bh209 fouled barrel and so far it’s doing that.
I picked some of the .50s up that I put through my Colorado legal muzzleloader (cva wolf) that put up a 5” group at 100 with open globe sights. I am waiting for a fine crosshairs insert to come to see if I can tighten it up a bit.

I had no luck with the 50 caliber in an optima Accuracy wise that have been the easiest bullet to group other the 270 Emax. Once I got the corrected BC I stretched it out easily with my Kestrel Ballistic calc being dead on. Holding off til June to see if I have my Utah Mule Deer tag before I practice some more. I got a fine crossair for my globe and peep setup on the 50 cal but not using it this year so don’t want to waste components with current availability.
