Bullberry Barrels in Utah that originally worked with Dave D to get us some smokeless Encore Barrels is closing. They have decided to retire.

They and JD Jones were major players in the TC retrofits. Wonder if the overall market for such products is down.

They wanted to retire and couldn't find a buyer for the price they were asking, so they closed. MGM is actually the biggest player in T/C retrofit market.

Lehigh/SSK is gearing up for a selection of Encore/Contender stuff. They already have their Contender frame called the SSK-50. Not sure atm if they plan on getting into barrels.

I have a couple of Bullberry barrels for a Contender. Hate to hear they are closing shop.

Do the guys at MGM still use Shilen barrels? When they were with VVCG, they built me a barrel second to none using a Shilen.

MGM is still second to none as far as I’m concerned. I believe they build the barrels sold by both Luke and Hankins. My ASG Brux shoots better than I can. Don’t mind the tape. The wood was wet and it didn’t want to stick.

Second that comment. My last mgm Brux from Luke just did a .2” group at 300 yards.
It has done a .16 before so not a fluke.
