A Co-worker purchased a New Savage 110 in .30-06 SPRG. He fired (2) Boxes of Hornady 150 Gr American Whitetail Ammo through it. He asked if I would size the cases & load them for him. I inspected the cases & the Primers were Flattened, looked like they were hit with a Sledge Hammer. I sized a few of the Cases & the Primer Pockets were too loose to use. I took him to the Range, we Fired my Proven Standard Load: 61.0 Grs H4350 150 Gr Barnes TTS"X" Win WLR Primer Rem Cases 2,985 fps (22" bbl)His 22" Barreled Rifle registered 3,145 fps on the Labradar !!! What do you guys think is Wrong with his Rifle? We checked a Remington 150 Core-Lokt it was 3,090 fps!1) Tight Chamber - Reamer was Worn Out2) Too Small of Rifling - Button was Worn Out3) Tight Neck 4) Short Throat 5) All of the Above Any & all Comments Welcomed.
