A bear walks into a bar in Billings, Montana and sits down. He bangs on the bar with his paw and demands a beer. The bartender approaches and says, 'We don't serve beer to bears in bars in Billings. The bear, becoming angry, demands again that he be served a beer. The bartender tells him again, more forcefully, 'We don't serve beer to belligerent bears in bars in Billings...' The bear, very angry now, says, 'If you don't serve me a beer, I'm going to eat that lady sitting at the end of the bar.' The bartender says, 'Sorry, we don't serve beer to Belligerent bears who bully broads in bars in Billings.' The bear goes to the end of the bar, and, as promised, eats the woman. He comes back to his seat, belches, and again demands a beer. The bartender states, 'Sorry, but we especially don't serve beer to belching belligerent, bullying bears in bars in Billings who are on drugs.' The bear looks at him quizzically and says, Im not on drugs.'
(You're gonna love this.........)
(Wait for it.......)
The bartender says, 'You are now. That was a barbitchyouate.

In Jersey, there are a lot of bears. They also seem to be protected by the law makers. There are also WAY more barbitchyouates in Jersey then in Montana. The ratio may astound you....maybe not. Dave D may confirm this.
I see a real possibility that your joke could become a reality in your own neighborhood.
I couldn't resist.......however, that was a funny joke.

snip I see a real possibility that your joke could become a reality in your own neighborhood. I couldn't resist.......however, that was a funny joke. In 1 two day stretch last week the cops had to shoot bears that had broken into peoples houses! It really is just a matter of time till someones kid gets killed....if I were that parent of that kid, the Gov would be in my sights! A few years ago there was a scheduled bear hunt in NJ. Just before it was cancelled the NJ Fish & Game website had a letter explaining why the hunt was needed and that the interactions between people and bears were growing. They wrote that they would be NEGLIGENT not to have a hunt. That hunt was cancelled and there has not been one for several years, and the F&G website removed that letter The head of the NJ DEP ( under the Gov. ) has been ordered by the Court to review the situation, but does not act. As long as they don't act, there will be no hunt! edge.

We have had a lot of bear damage around the area of my deer lease. Around my home and also just ten miles north of our lease there is a bear season that starts during the muzzleloader deer season, but not where my lease is located.
We get feeders destroyed each year now and local farmers have damage from them as well. Pretty easy to protect feeders from the feral hogs, and we can always hunt them and turn them into Bar-B-Que, but the d@#n bears are protected and much harder to protect feeders from them. We have also had several occasions of bear damage in Hot Springs, AR over the last few years and we have no where near the number of bears here as there are down around our deer lease.

If I had problems like that on a big lease, I would have to do one of 2 things.
Stop feeding and losing lot's of money in equipment OR
Call Ozark and ask him if he thought the 20 gr FMJ .17 HRM would be better the the 17 gr ballisic tip for a head shot on a bear.
I feel for the suburbanites that really can't take matters into their own hands until a bear has invaded their house! THAT's govt control right there!

Edge, that was really good! Where I bear hunt, south of Mt View, AR, the locals hate the bear. They view them as giant rodents. They are un-pleasant neighbors. They are a lot like feral hogs, but worse. I'm glad I get to hunt them but not live very near them - I live appx 150 mi from where I bear hunt.

We just had an interesting program at one of our Wildlife club meetings. A retired police Captain from Charlotte NC hiked the entire Appalachian trail from Georgia to Maine in ONE six month trek! We asked him if he had an bear encounters along the way? Guess where??? You bet, NJ! ;D Richard

According to what I have heard from him a "giant rodent" would be at least a couple steps up from what he thinks of the bears around him.
