If shooting a smoker then I suggest "holy black" powder. I have shot KIK, Black Diamond, Elephant, Goex, Swiss and whatever Graffs has. I much prefer black powder in my smokers unless they are Blackhorn 209 capable, and with caps BH209 is a no go. the tree hawk is a good cap ignition smoker and should give deer killing accuracy and power to 150 yd if you practice. I'd suggest starting at 85 grains of FF black and increase at 5 grain increments to best accuracy with chosen bullet. My bro has a 50 huntsman and likes the TC maxi hunter. They are accurate enough will really smash a deer. My experience and opinion, others will differ. 10

I concur! Find some real black powder. NO substitutes are better when using caps. Maxi Hunter or Maxi Ball bullets if you want to stay full-bore conical or 300 grain bullet in a sabot will do the job very well.
