Conditions were great at the start, overcast and consistent helping, quartering wind with temps in the low 70's.
Started out with a new powder, N--- and the 310 CMC, forgot to change the battery in the chrono, so it was low battery from the outset. Readings were higher than expected so I won't divulge the load or readings.
Fired one in the dirt since I had finished with I7828 SSC last time. First two shots, one on paper, one in the dirt, loaded snug like last time out after the new die setting. The last two on paper loaded smooth as silk and much easier! I have ran into this previously in the .375 cal with N---, even though these bullets were checked with a mic and they all were very close in diameter, this powder seems to burn very clean and changes the felt loading resistance. I love shooting this powder but hate the cost of the Viht. powders. Wish I had packed another load to see if it impacted over by the last two, smoother, easier loading shots.
Next tried H322 again with the 200 SST's. 65gr was first and barely squeaked in at under MOA. Battery was fried, so no readings.
Last group was 66gr H322. Storm was moving in from the North but had the same wind conditions, first two went into the same hole, then a BR guy who was shooting next to me wanted to grab his stuff before the rain came so I had to wait on him. By the time he got back in, the rain was on us and the wind shifted 180*. Waited to see if the wind would come back around, but no cooperation from Mother Nature so I let the last one rip.
Plan to shoot this load again along with the 310gr CMC with the same powder next time out.
