I have a friend wanting to turn his encore into a smokeless gun. What options are available to him? Thanks

I'm having Cole at CMC put together a Shilen 45-70 barrel with Luke's plug for me right now. My wife is tired of the weight of the rempac. Only thing I'm not sure of yet is how the barrel will do with aftermarket forearms. I plan on using her MZ forearms with the standoffs to start and then getting a dedicated forearm later. Your other option is to buy a 45-70 barrel and have it converted. We wanted SS and I was having no luck finding anything but blued. Good luck.

Tar Another option is to purchase a Bergara 45/70 Encore barrel and send it to cMc or Slufoot to have Luke's new BP installed. Looks like The barrels have come available again after having a dry spell most of last and this year. Last I checked Haus of Arms and Bergara still had them. Don

I have the BullBerry Pacnor setup with their "hangar system" and love everything about it. And would do it again in a heartbeat...except I would use either a Krieger or brux barrel. I only shoot saboted loads with it but think nothing about a 200yd shot. Personally I like the heavier contour barrel of 1" full length. That being said Luke has announced that he will offer pprefit brux barrels after the first of the year. With the new arrowhead plug in them. I do like the forend hangar system BullBerry offers....that can be added through them Good luck Drop

If it is not to much trouble can you post a picture of the Bullbeery hanger system you speak of? Thanks

I feel it is capable of more than 200 yds. But I KNOW it is very capable at 208 yds. That is as far as I have tested it myself. Drop
