Got this a few weeks ago, and took her to the range one time, but never really posted it. So I took her back out today, and I got a late start so when I got to the range it was about 87*, but I went ahead and and shot her. I usually would have used the 10/50, 4759/10X, but I had a load in my book which had three starts by it. This load was an old one that I must have tired when I got my first 40 cal. so I decided to go with it. The load was 10/52, 4759/10X, the bullets were the SST'S 200 gr. ran thru a a smooth die, and I used a wool wad. The gun has a PACNOR barrel 400/408, but it is actually a bit tighter than that. Stock is HOGUE rubberized stock which was bedded, and the scope is a Leupold VX-R 4x12x40 CDS FIREDOT. I shot one target to get her sighted in, and once I had it done, I put anew target up, and fired three rounds. The speed were 2765, 2767, and 2770, and the average was 2767. I was real happy with the results, and I will call the group a one hole since is so close. Great gun and built Cole.

Carlos, what plug and bushing are you using? Guy I'm using a Savage BP with a .040 bushing that Cole put in it. So far so good. As soon as it gets a bit cooler, and I get back form Houston I will take her out to 200, and 300 yrds. Also thinking about trying the 300 gr. TSX Barnes that I have, They worked out great on my other 40 cal.

Awesome shooting, and who says the hogue stocks can't be made to shoot. I've read allot of people who struggle to get them to shoot this proves them wrong, awesome!

No reason why any of these plastic stocks cannot shoot well if you know how to bed them! Some filler is the hollow butts also helps along with a little stiffening up of the forend. Good shooting Carlos! Richard

Looks like you and 45omega need to change your handles to include the 40. Nice shooting.
