Yes, Doug.. That's another good point.. Keep your shirt tucked in... And it's not the strength of the glove it's the reaction time of the human body,, if and I say if that glove got caught on the chuck or the spinning barrel you could not pull away fast enough.. I guess those things are something you learn with time... And hopefully you can get old with all your fingers and toe... I've had a few close calls and been stitched up a time or two but still lucky enough to have all my fingers.. Just be careful and you'll be ok..

All the muzzleloaders I've had have muzzle breaks on them. I got a few muzzleloaders from Cole that I sold to friends they did not have brakes on them and it was kind of nice to load them without funnel. The gun I'm building I think it's going to be heavier than average over 15lb with scope. I can always add one later

Kash did an excellent job from start to finish I was just there to remind him which controls did what. We only had one slip up of which handle to rotate but the lathe was easily returned to zero after we lost reference point. I would say kash made a finer fitting barrel than my first handful were. He dropped off all my new bolts and they are dead on and drop in ready.

45omega"]Good work Kash. Keep us posted. Barrel looks a little thin [/quote] The story on the barrel I called Kieger to order 6 barrels same profile that's on my Manners stock that I sold. They had one in stock which was a Remington heavy varimint Contour So I told him that I would take it. The next day I get a call from them stating they cant sell me the barrel it has bad spot and it 2- 3inches up from the breech. Long story short I got the barrel for $150 bucks plus $20 shipping. Between installing the Luke's plug and where is the power charging, bullet sets the bad spot will not affect accuracy of the barrel

That's all right I am the guy that goes on a hunt and everybody else shoots a big deer
This will be my first year in the last six years that I haven't booked a hunt somewhere else than where I live because I'm tired of donating money to outfitters and watch other people shoot big deer
I'm just not lucky, and all but one outfitter has been top notch
I decided to take my beautiful wife to Jamaica for 10 days

Looks good. No scope mounting holes and round lug, Tube Gun? Wow you nailed it. I'm building to switch barrel tube gun. The first barrel is the 6xc the Second barrel is a 308 chambered to shoot the 200 215 Bergers like John Pierce and Brian Litz on Michigan FRT team shoot. And finally the third barrel is a 45 Cal ML. It's built on a long action so down the road I do a 338 edge or something along that line

Sense 7mm let the cat out of the bag! He definitely has a good eye no one else noticed there's no holes for a scope rail. Here's a picture of the chassis but not this color.

I leave for a week of vacation and come back to a board schism and you became a riflesmith. Good for you. I intend to have as much a part in building my guns from here on out as possible.
I almost built a Palma gun on a Pierce action with Eliseo chassis but ended up building another practical rifle on a Manners MCS. Instead of a switch barrel gun I built a switch action gun: .308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .223 Wylde with a Stiller rimfire action forthcoming this year. I haven't shot the heavy Bergers in the .308 Win but I have used the 190gn SMK and 208gn A-MAX and they hit hard with comparatively little drift. I have had excellent results with RL17 but there are guys who say it is too temp sensitive although I have not had issues with it here in NC and I get screaming MV out of a 23" long Benchmark 1-10" 5R barrel.

I was wondering why the recoil lug was sitting up taller than than the barrel and action. All makes sense now seeing the chassis.

Wow, a neat looking bolt! And a very good adaptation of the "dirt grooves" on the likes of uzi and AK guns. a place for dirt to go instead of binding and wearing the bolt. And looks neat too! I'm always looking for multiple positives. and saves weight for that mountain rifle build. Yeah, looks cool. Hope it shoots as good as it looks. 10

I decided to take my beautiful wife to Jamaica for 10 days You the man, That is the way it should be. I SENT my wife to Jamaica with a girls trip 2 years ago. Took her to Bahamas last year and this year it'll be a week in the OBX in September (the fishing should be good). Has certainly slowed down my builds progress but I have enough SMLs to hunt and allows me time to really hold out for deals. Best to all. 10 ga
