Well I finally got to the range for the first time in over a year. Shooting my Rem/McGowen .45 with 1:22 twist. Did not get to shoot much because of rain. The gun used: 100 Yards 10/50 SR4759/IMR4198 Federal 209A primers Wool Wad Sabotless The first target is the 275 BE. They fit perfect from pack to bore. The next target is the Barnes 250 TEZ with a slight knurl. They were a little loose so next time I will give them a little more knurl. Not bad for the first range trip with this gun. Next time I will try the 270 e-max and 275 MH Scott

Very nice. Must be awesome to just be able to take the Parkers from pack to bore!! That is a big plus IMO.

Have you ever run those bullets thru a die to see if it tightened groups even though they fit well out of the package ? Just curious because those bullets fit well out of package in my mcgowen but every now and then I get a flyer and loading consistency is sometimes different..haven't broke down and bought a die to try..

I do, and it definitely helps accuracy.

Yea I figured it would. I can shoot three groups with all holes touching or close to it at 100 yards then have a shot fly 1-2 in. Out of the group. This is with a straight charge of 4198. I just picked up some red dot thinking maybe it would help obturate better . Would like to avoid getting a die but I will if it the booster doesn't rid the occasional flyer .

IMO a die is a good thing to have in your arsenal . It would help with consistency in your bullet size Drop

Good start to the year, nice to get out and pull the trigger. Gotta love the McGowen barrels and the way parkers shoot right out of the box. If you have any, try N110/H322 combo, it's proven very accurate for many as well.

Thanks for the load info.

What is this one going to comprise of? Rambler I have not made the final decision on what it is going to be. It will be going to the Kentucky Challenge with me. I will be talking to Hankins, Myers, Hillbill and make my decision then and send it with the builder I choose.

Scott................The gun looks good and the TEZ group looks great. These TEZ's do not have to fit tight to get good groups..............One hand seating will do. Aug. 14 will be here before you know it. Richard
