Elkman I'm not sure where you are heading with this but very nice advertisement. I'm glad you take enough pride in your work to tell me how good you are, much nicer than hearing it from someone who received your product.

The muzzleloader actions I wanted to make are on the back burner. Richards knows I am dealing with some very serious health issues with my wife. And the owner of the company is knee deep in running his main company. So what seemed like a done deal is not ready for prime time. I keep hearing the same song about people that can't buy a FFL muzzleloader have to settle for the cheap junk. Well you can think what you want. But you are wrong! I have built several muzzleloaders using the Remington and Savage action. I like the Rem better. There has been posts about the cam screw wearing out. There is no reason for the screw to wear out as long as you head space your primer to the plug and have the correct size reamed into the plug for the primer to fit properly. I use CCI Mag primers they like most 209 primers are not perfectly round. Most 209 primers measure .2385 to .2415 I use a .240 reamer which produces a nice tight fit . You have got to take the time to set things up properly. If you do it right there is very little wear on the screw or the slot. Some of the Remington screws were cut off center which was a problem not the design. I build very high quality rifle rests for the 1000 Yard boy's. I also built some high quality muzzleloaders . I do buy a donor action , I make my own bolt nose assembly, my own breech plug also the muzzle brake. I setup and thread my own barrels. I usually use Boyd stocks. Which I pillar bed. And then I make all the needed accessories for the muzzleloader. I consider myself a designer and a build. I do not build muzzleloaders for a living. I only build a few a year. And I will only build one for a person that has experience with muzzleloaders and also is a reloader. I keep telling people these high performance muzzleloaders are not for everyone. I think we can put this topic to rest! elkman:
At the risk of being off topic I wish your wife well and hope she gets better soon.

Beautiful workmanship on those bolts! edge. I'm very impressed that kash actually made these. I mean they gave him a box of steel and a green button and he knocked them out of the park! Really I am grateful that he spent a really long evening up at pierce to get them made with the help of one of their employees

Elkman I not a designer nor a builder! What I went thru trying to find 700ml action and buying Hunters bolt nose conversion. I thought if I could put Hunter nose on a 700 bolt it could solve a lot of problems. Guys like us all have 700 rem rifle laying around and 700 ml actions are drying up or getting over priced for a donor.
So if anybody should get credit for these bolts It is HUNTER and Myer129 did spec out the bolt make sure dimension and the fit was right to make them plug and play for people who are not smith like my self.
Since I started this venture I'm pretty good friends with all the guys at Pierce's I will working there one or two days a week to help, learn and bug them to get my stuff done. LOL I'm all so working on a non FFL action I think it will help are sport greatly.
Edge Thank You

myers129 I don't post on this board to sell my rifle rests or the muzzleloaders I build. Let me say this. the very best 1000yrd shooters come to my home range located outside Williamsport, Pa. The top shooters in both light gun and heavy gun all shoot off my rifle rests. especially the large 3 piece rests I make. No one is building a rest that comes close to it.
If you what to talk to me in private you can email me. Its time to get back on topic.

Elkman??!! We (you and I) were talking about these bolts, remember? You said they were overkill, I disagreed and now we have settled that you build the very finest laser transit rest available to man or god. Thank you

I wanted to type Rod Sterling but now I find that was even wrong, Rod Serling. I have been wrong all these years. There was also an Outer Limits show about then too I think
