Tried some Reloader 15 for the first time today in the 20 twist 408 McGowen. Found out a black Duracoated barreled action heats up and stays heated up pretty good in 80 something deg temp First 3 shot group off a clean Duracoated recrowned muzzlebreaked 700ML 408 McGowen using Win 209 primers was not that impressive to me but actually not too bad? 2nd group with R15 after moving scope 6 clicks right I switched to CCI209M's and the first two cut the same hole. I grabbed the barrel and it was HOT. Not being a waiter I fired a 3rd which hit to the right....what the heck....one more. I will revisit this load with R15 when it cools down as according to QL it has a good burn rate with great FPS. I had 4 duplexes of 4759/10x in the shooting box so I shot 2 with my McGowen and my boy shot 2 with his 13 twist 408 Pacnor at 200yds. I know this is Carlos accuracy load and it looks pretty darn good to me also in these two guns. First R15 group Win209 primer 2nd R15 group CCI209M 200yds 40 McGowen 4759/10x 200yds 40 Pacnor Some videos of CmC installed Harrels brakes from today.

Nice work Steve and Alex, it'll definitely get better when the temps cool down. Glad you got out with the re-worked 40's. Gotta love em

Pretty amazing results braking a 40. I would like to see one with a muscle brake on it, might actually pull the rifle forward

Nothing wrong with that in the heat!

Even though I no longer use sabots, (we all know what heat can do to sabots) I still use my cool rod to keep barrel temperatures low. For me, it takes summer heat out of the equation Richard how to print screen on pc

Looks to be an awful big contraption to haul to the range.

Ummmm....you're gonna have to explain that amalgamation.

Well, duh!! Once in awhile someone comes up with an idea, and the light comes on, which begs the question, "Why didn't I think of that?" In this instance, I'm thinking that's a GREAT idea for my .204 Ruger American Predator in which the barrel gets too hot to handle with only 5 shots! Thanks for that little tid-bit, Richard! Looks to be an awful big contraption to haul to the range. Actually they're not. The close-up photo makes it look larger than it actually is.

great shooting buddy, and Alex is finally catching up to you. I still have to brake in my new 40 cal., but hope to do so next week. The 10/50 duplex of 4759/10X has been my pet load since I got my first 40 cal., and it has never let me down. Again great shooting.

That amalgamation is just a bit shorter than the barrel. It is 4" PVC pipe wrapped in pipe insulation. Just add ice and water. Danno is right, its an optical illusion. But works like a charm...........I will be toting it to the Kentucky Challenge if you want to come see it in person Richard
