I wanted to put together the best part availiable and have it put together by one of the best in this country. Built by APA in Georiga. Jered knows how to build em.
Defiance Action Lapua action Broughton 5.8 5c barrel Huber concepts 2lbs trigger Manners Carbon elite stock Badger M5 bottom metal Apa Gen 2 fat bastard All in FDE cerakote.
Clear was put on the stock then a stencil was laid over it to create the punisher skull.
It's chambered in the awesome 300 Norma mag. It's a 338 Norma necked down to .30 cal. Itll push a 230gr Berger at 3000fps.
First 3 shots thru the gun was .105" at 100 yards.

And accurate ! If I recall correctly , the .300 Norma Mag dates ti the late 50's or early 60's . Norma's answer to the .300 Weatherby ... just before the .300 Winchester Mag . Chris

Well this is actually fairly new. Your thinking of the 308 Norma mag. This is a 300 Norma. Believe me there's always confusion. It's a 338 Norma Mag necked down to .30 cal. It's a extremly accurate cartridge. Tim North of Broughton has a guy that shoots these over 2000 yards regularly. It's actually bigger than a weatherby and ballistic ally is the same as a RUM. However the problem with the RUM is most of the time they're single shots because of the COAL. This cartridge is a touch shorter but has the same base as the Lapua.

Very cool, one day I'll get a mag caliber. I picked up a 243 earlier in the year and excited to get out to shoot it's no Norma like yours but it's always fun to get a new rifle. I really like the punisher decal also great touch!

I helped build a .300 Dakota a couple of years ago. It has a 27" Broughton 5C on it and I do not think it has shot a group larger then .5 and that's with hunting bullets. He never has got around to trying match grade bullets as it was built mainly for elk hunting. The Dakota is little shorter then a RUM and he launches 180gr just over 3000fps an 220s just under 2900. A little bit of bolt work needed done. But his in-laws all shoot Dakotas (some relation to the guy that started Dakota) so he has a good supply of brass.

What's really nice is Norma is factory producing brass now in 300 Norma. All my Broughton have been extremly accurate. I'm very pleased with them.

Thanks guys. For what it is this gun is also fairly lightweight. Total weight is 16lbs. But its balanced nicely too. The scope weighs 2lbs in itself and that's a 27" barrel plus brake as well. I'm pretty happy how it turned out.
