Again, thank you for the prayers. Those and modern medicine all all that is keeping Lucas alive.
Things took a down turn last night and he had to be put back on a ventilator and had to have chest tubes put in. He has not regained conscienceness.
Trying to stay positive and hopeful but now his situation is truly in God's hands and only time will tell.
Yes, Edege, this is every parents nightmare. Two of my grandchildren are staying with Lisa and me this week and I have just about worn them out hugging them after this.
Thanks,
Mike

Prayers sent out for the young man and his entire family, praying for a full and speedy recovery. Keep your chin up Mike, lots of prayers can sometimes lead to lots of miracles, hopefully this is the case.

Been away for a couple days and just saw this. Praying for him and his family, as well as wisdom for the doctors.

Again, thank you for your concern and prayers...much appreciated.
Lucas is still on a ventilator but his doctors are confident that he will live. This fall would have most likely killed an adult outright but Lucas's youth and resilience are working in his favor.
He has a fractured skull, fractures of T3 through T6 vertebrae, broken scapula, 2 broken ribs, fractured sternum and a fracture in his pelvis region....he took a hard thump.
He has been awake but the doctors are keeping him sedated now to help him to heal.
Thanks be to God and the doctors who work His miracles with their hands.
Mike

glad to hear Mike...he is young and has the will to live inside him....and seems the doctors are giving 110% of their efforts to get him well....with the power of prayer from the great people here...Lucas will be fine...just tell Lucas to get well when he is awake..give him the willpower to self heal

Thank you Lord for hearing our prayers and continue feeding this young boy your healing touch and mercy! Amen!

I also check this thread multiple times a day . I feared the worst when Mike hadn't posted in awhile. But Gods grace has gotten Lucas this far. He has heard and answered our prayers....so let's keep up a steady prayer ritual for Lucas and his family....to include thanks for the blessings thus far. Blessings Russell

Well, today has been a good day for Lucas. The doctors took the breathing tube out and Lucas spoke the first words since his fall.
There was great joy for his parents and renewed hope that recovery will be successful.
Lucas will wear a body brace for a long time and will undergo much physical therapy but indications are that that he should recover with only a small amount of permanent damage.
Wish I could personally thank and shake hands with each of you who sent prayers for Lucas. His life hanged in the balance for a time and I believe only God's intervention kept him alive.
He still has a tough road ahead but he is a tough little fellow and God has blessed him.
Thank you, my friends
Mike

Good news today as Lucas was moved out of intensive care. He has to wear a body brace but that is a small inconvenience for the injuries he had. He might beg to differ because he seemed annoyed as a 10 year would at his confinement.
There are lessons to be learned from this and hope that I and others will try to understand what they are. This fall was very nearly a tragedy and only by the grace of God was not.
All of you who sent prayers for Lucas, I thank sincerely...
I will continue to update Lucas's progress but as of today things look positive and with time and much physical therapy, he will heal.
Loosing a child has to be the worst nightmare any parent can endure and his parents have suffered along with Lucas. He and they have a second chance now.
Been chaotic here for a few days so now maybe I can get back to the booring mundane life that is greatly enjoyed.
Best to each of you,
Mike
