I would like to have you do a series 2 flat flute job to my bolt as well. With the small tactical SS bolt knob. Pm me if you would!

I mailed my bolts off to Dennis and had them back in three days. Both got fluted and threaded for small knob. Once I get the bolts retimed I will coat them. Both are flats, top is Series 3, bottom Series 2 Same bolts in their actions A comparison of fluting and bolt handles for those trying to make decisions. Left to Right: Rem700SA Kampfeld Ti Flutes, Adams Series 2 Flats Flutes and small knob, Accurate Ordnance (by Stiller) similar to Adams square, Peirce Precision similar to Adams round

Measured the bolt for timing, the long action is good to hook; it can go out for coating. I'll have to measure the short action after it gets trued up.

I prefer the Series 2/Flats that he has. It is a lot like the Ti flutes I have run on my match rifle the past few years and that bolt is SLICK. This one I just got done is going on a new 6.5 Creed match rifle so I'm sure it'll shake out the same.
I'm still making up my mind on the Series 3/ Round (mine is the Peirce though which is nearly identical) and Series 3 / Flats; both look great but we'll see if they feel any different. Both are hunting guns so I'm not sure I'll ever notice a difference if there is one.

Thanks for your opinion. BTW, what type of material does Remington use to attach stainless bolt handles to stainless bolt bodies. Luke had sent me one a year or two ago that had come off. I just vise griped they together had heated them to fuse. There was some type of solder??? I have silver soldered chrome moly handles but never stainless. Thanks Richard

I believe they all come soldered from the factory but when I get them timed they get TIG'd.

Couldn't tell you. Ask me again after a couple semesters of this gunsmith course. Hopefully, I learn a bunch of stuff I don't know.
