That's what I'm talking about! Who doesn't want a half-minute trainer? You don't always get a looker and high precision in the same package and when you do it normally costs an arm and a leg. Looks like you are living right.

Thanks for posting the CZ's groups ! They were shot at 50 yards with good weather conditions from a solid bench .A Caldwell front rest and a rear rabbit ear bag were used . As you may recall the rifle is scoped with a Leupold Compact 3-9 AO and all shooting was done at 9 power with the AO set for 50 yards . The Federal Match #922 has averaged for 3 different groups ( including the .358" group with the "oops" flyer ) , as close as I can measure , .292" . I now wonder how much more accuracy I could realize from this rifle if I had scoped it with a Leupold VXII 4-12 AO ? Tar , once again , thank you so very much for your great camera work . As I have said before " I'm a low tech guy in a high tech world " .... a Phil Robertson line . Chris

I now wonder how much more accuracy I could realize from this rifle if I had scoped it with a Leupold VXII 4-12 AO ? None, don't go fixing what isn't broken. You have enough magnification to give you the resolution to see finer than what you can hold at 50yds. Even at 100yds you will be fine. I used to have the same scope on a .17HMR and could turn in sub-MoA groups at 100yds if the wind wasn't blowing.

You have a bona-fide squirrel sniper for sure! I am still undecided on what glass to put on mine.....

That Leupold Compact 3-9 AO is on three other great shooting .22s I lucked into . One is a 70's vintage Marlin 39A that can shoot the discontiued Lapua SubSonic H.P. into one hole at 50 yards and the other two are Thompson/Center .22 Classic Autoloaders that shoot under 1/2" at 50 yards ... with good ammo with good conditions . I wish I was more of a computer person so I could post pictures of groups and rifles . Chris

Have someone set up you up with photo bucket. You don't need a smartphone to get started. A decent digital camera is all you need....

A good barrel , a good scope , accurate ammo , good ( weather ) shooting conditions , a solid bench and any of the fine shooters here would have the same type groups ... but thanks for the kind words . Chris
