Thanks. The plated bullets certainly are cheap enough. I looked at the raniers way back when and they told me to not push them past about 1500 fps. If they hold accuracy on paper, I imagine you get them much faster but they'd likely go splat on game.

Rangeball, the powerbond bullets are plated nearly twice as thick as the rainier or berrys. I have shot a lot of the .45 cal 230 gr out of my guns with 10/60 4759/4198 and they shoot great, like a poor mans BE. I don't know how fast that load is but it's moving way beyond the 1500fps mark. I would t use them on game but I don't think the explosion could be any worse than a BE JMHO. They are a good value at $0.14 each
