Guys..
After using a Bushnell Yardage Pro 1000 Range Finder since 2000 AD with out any complaints I decided to buy the Bushnell Elite Tactical Range Finder.
The Yardage Pro 1000 will read reflective targets such as houses and barn roofs at 1500 yards on a clear day, after owning the Yardage Pro for 15 years I have only replaced the 9 volt battery in it a few times and have shot hundreds if not thousands of targets with it. I have been completely tickled pink with this range finder...
I saw the new Elite Tactical Range Finder that is advertised to read to 1760 Yards (which is one mile) and at a price I thought was reasonable. SO I decided to pick one up and see how it does.
My question for you guys is.: Does anyone have this range finder and if so what is you take on the new model?
I haven't even took mine out of the box yet..
Thanks Jeff Hankins.

I have had a Bushnell Yardage Pro Compact 600 for about 15 years. Never had one problem from it either. Only negative was ranging past 400 yards in perfect conditions was spotty at best. I have been looking to buy a new rangefinder as well. Look forward to your findings on this model.

18 guys on Amazon seemed to be happy with it........and 1 stubborn guy seemed to think it did the job!
If it can go a mile. It can't be too BAD! Can it be mounted on a Tri-pod?

I almost got that same finder yet the more I thought about it is probably never shoot a mile, even though I'd love too. I read allot of good reviews on that finder also however I went with the Leupold 1000i with DNA. I had a Leupold fiber before someone decided they needed it more than me a lifted it out of my unlocked Jeep (idiot). Either way I'm very happy with the Leupold. Zen has a Bushnell 1500 I believe and last September we hunted antelope together and his unit and my Nikon rangefinder wouldn't read past 200 yards cause of heat waves. Pretty sure that will be an issue with my be Leupold but haven't had a chance to test it. Probably be an issue with any finder in this price range though.
Be interested to hear about the range report on this finder!

That's the ARC1600. They are very good and will reach a mile with good conditions.

I have a set of the bushnell binos and have been very pleased with them. The range finding side of things is a bit better than bino side of things. The binos have a blue tint to them that some do not like. Personally I do like the blue tint as it does what they say and releaves eye strain, especially on very bright days and during extended glassing. As far as the rangefinding capabilities they are very good. The only down side for me is the weight & bulk which comes down to how you are going to use them. The newer style bino harness help with this.
I also have a Leica 1600 and in my mind you can't be it for the money. It is very compact, accurate and reliable as long as you can hold it steady.

Well, we got to use the rangefinder this weekend. I was very happy with it and how it performed. Longest ranging was 400 yards but it was very persist and quick to do what it is supposed to do... Several other guys used it as well and I think they all liked it as well. I would recommend it to anyone and would buy another one if I ever needed too..
Thanks Jeff Hankins.
