Do you use Teflon Tape or some other grease type anti-sieze on your breechplug?

Tape only for me. Once I went there, there was no going back. I am basically in the old days with a stock .50. At one time the "old days" were where everyone wanted to be. Not anymore.

I use a light coat of grease. White lithium as an antisiese not a sealant. Not that's there's anything wrong with using tape if that is what you prefer...

I just use a couple wraps of the yellow tape for good measure. Seems to work ok especially when I started using the "bastard" plug by myers129.
Life is good...no worries.

I use Loctite Nickel anti-seize for up to 2400 F temps or permatex to 1600 F or one of the sticks.

Yellow Teflon tape exclusively. If I am using vent liners in a plug? Then I will use silver Permatex anti-seize on them. Richard

I voted both. Anti seize and tape on vent. Light anti seize and tape on plug. LOL, the anti seize keeps the tape where I want it to stay before I get the piece in place. Just the way I roll and you asked. AND since I started using both not even a reluctant item to deal with, all out easy. 10

Now it's pretty much SML for 10 ga = 2 almost stock 50 MLII and 3 "builds". Nothing really fancy, just very serviceable and accurate for me.

Locktite silver anti-seize stick on vent, yellow tape with a little of the same anti-seize after chasing the threads with fingernail. Maybe overdoing it, but it works for me.

If the plug and barrel have a good sealing surface grease or nothing if not teflon tape.

Light coat of anti seize(kids tooth brush to apply to just the threads) on ALL BP sub & SML guns. Never had an issue but have considered using tape. Do you have to replace the tape each time you remove the plug or does it last after several removals/replacements etc between groups and such..

Being an old fashioned , keep it simple kind of guy , I just use TW25B from MIL-COMM . I tried tape and did not care for it . And I also didn't care for the auto type anti-seize . Works for me . Chris

I have always used grease until my peers here over the years recomended the tape. Ive used both with success and have swapped to tape exclusively. clean and works the same in my rig. Jason

I'll just stick with the anti seize then, as I like to pull my BP's a couple times during sessions to run a bore snake through between groups as well as when I'm done. It doesn't sound like the tape is a good fit for my sequence.

White teflon tape, and before the bushing used it on the vent liner as well.

I have never used the Teflon tape but it appears I should try/consider it.
