Haven't decided on primers and wondering what would be a recommended primer? I have gotten to where I shoot all Federal Gold Medal primers. I used to shoot a lot of CCI BR primers but in the past few months they have jumped to $50/1000ct while Federal stays at $35/1000ct and work absolutely great. Remember, keep at least a 4:1 ratio of all components to brass depending on how you manipulate your brass and how hot you load your ammo. I generally shoot for a 10:1 ratio of components to brass because of how I load, although, not every case gets loaded that many times.

I have it set to throw 70 grains 3031 and it's only +-.3 grains either way for my ml. From what I was reading you need to be closer for center fire. Not sure though cause I never got big into loading centerfire loading until now. It depends on where you are on the harmonic node, if you are on the extreme edge the accuracy will suffer. If you are on the center of an accuracy node .3 won't make a difference one way or another--they will all go into the same grouping with little difference in size. Most of the accuracy loads I have looked at were the 87 vmax and IMR 4350 in the 43.5 range.* *See Practical Riflery Forums OCW and related topics

Yes, the Hornady manual has a great section about reloading from A to Z. Everyone from the experienced to newbies can learn something from it. It's an interesting as well as educational read.

I took it out on Monday to sight in the cheap scope. I was able to cover a 6 shot group with a quarter at 60 yards. That's with a stiff trigger, no bedding, no pillars, and factory federal ammo. I also was rushing between shots, very cold and windy I was ready to pack it up. I still haven't had a chance to break the barrel in its only had 25 rounds ran threw it. I'm a very happy camper.
I picked up some Hornady custom reloading dies today only because they sold me on free bullets with purchase. Well I went home to order my free bullets and the sale was only good for 2014, well I sent Hornady an email so we'll see what they say I'm expecting no reply. Only cause I never received a reply from my last email.

Hornady has run that deal for the last several years so maybe they will offer it you.
