You would not even need to range them. I can see about 8 in that photo, many for next year.

That's more than I saw on public hunting land all muzzleloader season (10 days). I'm counting deer seen while driving in and out of of our location, back and forth, to and from, the home trailer.
Our mid-Michigan hunting area was decimated by tuberculosis outbreaks 10-15 years ago. The herd just hasn't seemed to recover from the after-effects of it yet.

Then EHD hit the southern counties hard the past couple years too.
I feel extremely lucky to have them show up. From Nov 15th, when I seen one small spike and a couple does with fawns, I only seen 3 fawns the entire remainder of the season. My worst year since back in the "60's".

Neat picture and thanks. With Hemoragic fever hitting here this year that is about all the deer I saw for 10 weeks of hunting, usually see that many in 1 herd late in season. Our club usually has a kill of 150 to 170 a year. That is not counting what the guys kill when not on club property/leases. This year the kill was 67 and that was all hard hunting and not seeing many numbers. Usually I pass up more than a seasons take the 1st 2-3 days, this year I shot all that gave good shots xcept for 3 spike/forky bucks and my kill was 4 and that was way under my usual 9+-. Like encore50a said my worst year, well hunting always good but "harvest" varies, since 1986. I remember the 60s too and then it was a great season if you got 1 or 2 shots in a 7 week season, no archery or ML season, limit 2 bucks only cept for a few places that had 1 or 2 doe days, good old bad old days. 10
