Buy a new one. You should never trust a used breechplug purchase over the internet. It may be half worn out already. Click on the word LINK below. linkAlso brownisdown Please quit using all capital letters in your posts. In internet language, all caps means you are yelling. So please type your post like everyone else here..... if you don't mind.... asking nicely.

Maybe he thinks you're hard of hearing and he is yelling!
Personally you can type any way you desire. The caps are easier to read. ( on my phone). This isn't Facebook or Instagram or any other chat site. He asked a valid question, he should obtain a valid answer without being told how to write it. Will you correct grammar next?

There will always be posters who don't follows internet etiquette guidelines. There's a difference between not following and not obeying BTW. That's why posters like myself help teach the unaware.
Are you the President of the Anti Etiquette club Alabama? Are you the one that chased Emily Post away too?

At the risk of getting totally off topic, I was unaware of any "internet etiquette guidelines" in this forum. Other than common sense politeness and no flaming I thought it was pretty much informal?? Ya'll know wut I mean? All caps ARE easier to see

deleted by T7..... double post. Since we are on the subject,,, I do agree all CAPS should not be used in normal conversation. In the corporate world it does mean you are yelling and is not allowed in most companies on their email network. CAPS should be used sparingly and to emphasize a particular word or sentence.
I do not think all caps are easier to read. It looks to me like a solid stream of characters and are annoying to me to try to read it.
P.S... When you make a double post it is also not necessary to apologize in another post for double posting it.. Just delete the double post and be done with it. No one will ever know you double posted it and will not even need to read your apology.
One more thing that should be kept to a minimum is quoting someone. If you are just answering or responding to the post what since does it make to quote it. I have seen the same post quoted numerous times in a row just making the thread more confusing...to follow....Just slow down on the quoting..
Hope I didn't offend anyone but we all need to be aware of proper internet language and,, YES,, try to use proper grammar and punctuation, because if you don't your post comes across the wrong way and sometimes makes you look as if you have know idea of what you are talking about.
AND PROOF READ YOU POST BEFORE HITTING THE POST BUTTON.
Please don't take offence to this post and let it help all of us to make better DOUGERS.....

That sophomoric feed comes from about a billion computer users, which by-the-way is different from a telephone user.
If you cannot afford a proper way to read posts on this bard, don;t blame anyone else here. In the meantime, I hear my phone ringing and will use it what it was really intended for-most.
Have a nice day to everyone inside this thread. I'm exiting this thread now. Hopefully poster brownisdown gets his breechplug issues fixed. I hope the link I passed to him helps him.

Come on man,, Calm down.. No one is trying to run a dictatorship here, just giving out some good advise... If you are willing to except good advise and valuable information about muzzleloaders you should be willing to except good advise and valuable information about the proper usage of internet language. You should be willing to take all the good advise posted on this form, not just that about muzzleloaders. We all need to keep learning and do the best we can to make this a great place to be. I have seen more than one thread on this board go wrong because someone didn't express themselves properly.
The use of a . or a , and a ? vrs a ! is very important when trying to express yourself with the written word..
You shouldn't get all offensive on this, you should have said thanks to triple7 for letting you know that all CAPS is like yelling on the internet. He even said (please stop) and you still got your feathers ruffled.
Not all great advise given on this board needs to be about guns and shooting.... Great advise is good no matter what it is about.. We are never to old to learn new things and if you think you know everything,,, you really know nothing...
So,,, If I said anything to offend you then ,,,I'm sorry,,,,,.

Wow! The ignore / remove member feature here works great. Doug's is a great place to talk hunting and guns.
Speaking of plugs..... Just ordered a bare primer breechplug for my Knight Vision ML. I will compare blowback percentages with the current red plastic jacket I have.

Okay guys let me try this again.I was asking about a breech plug because as I said mine is total crap.I did check with Knight Rifles and their cost is almost $30.00 and $8.00 for shipping.Since I am on disability through the v.a. it may not seem like much, but if I have to choose between a couple days of food or a breech plug for the mountaineer, then the plug will have to wait for a little while.I hope this clears things up and that my typing has passed the test. I am not asking for pity or a hand out, just a little understanding.

Is the knight bare primer plug a replacement for the plug that has the primer inserted in a plastic jacket such as I have in my Knight TK2000?

Post by bestill on Jan 22, 2015 18:03:09 GMT -5
Yes but they are model specific. Tk2000 i don't know if its a option but the bare primer setup is a upgrade imo.

Yes,it slips into the face of the bolt.Bolt slides forward and primer slides into the breech plug.m900020 is the part number. No plastic disk on this style.

I know those red primer jackets are a pain to use, put on and take off. My TK2000 is the only thing I have from Knight, but I must say it is one awesome turkey gun. Shoots pie plate groups or better at 40 yards.
