First weekend of bow season in Indiana ended with a good eating 90#'er. Had been in stand for about 45 minutes when 3 was seen off to my left at about 125yds. Being patient I watched as they circled behind me to the watering hole. I lost sight of them but could hear them splashing in the water. I was standing and ready they came out to my left at 53yds. I thought it over to decide to pull or not because it was early in the year I picked out the one bring up the rear. I ranged again at 48yds and set my 40yd pin about 6" high and let fly. There is a very distinctive sound when you here that smack. Waited about an hour to climb down. Found hair and a good blood trail. At the end of the blood trail there she was. I impressed myself with shot placement at 48yds. Had to let a couple walk.
