This was the last time i will hunt with this .50 cal caplock. 70gr FFF PRB shot a fat 6 pt last day of Firearms season. I just sold it to fund a SML project.

You did not hit that deer with your ATV did you? Just kidding. You will like smokeless but I do miss the smoke on occasion but certainly not the cleaning. Keep us posted on the smokeless works out and what you get.

Keep us posted on the smokeless works out and what you get. Naw i just loaded him on my old 1985 3 wheeler to haul him out to our cabin. I have a T/C Blk. Dia. i am going to keep, going to sell the .56 Smoothbore T/C & the .50 cal T/C New Englander. I have a converted barrel on its way back from Slufoot to put back on my New England Arms frame. Will be trying out the sabot with .40 cal bullets light n mild loads.

That should be a good combination for you. The SSTs 200grain bullet and the Barnes 195 grain bullets have been proven performers.
