If it is a 700ML action using a McGowen DMB#1 or #2 contour, you need the Varmint Thumbhole. Just go to Boyd's site and plug Remington,700ML in the stock finder on the left. There are 2 other windows that only have one choice, but choose those single choices in. You will the get your color options to choose from. Nowdays there are many other upgrades to choose from such as recoil pads, gloss or satin, checkering etc.

Make sure you up-grade to the 1 inch decelerator pad... Stay away from the Limbsaver pads. They will rot away in just a few years... Jeff.

Someone on here once said you can lengthen the life of the Limbsaver pads by wiping them down with WD40. I've been a bit afraid to try it. Anyone try it? Mine haven't rotted away but one of them has a lot of micro-cracks in it.

As Jeff indicated I am not too wild about my Limbsavers. They have not exactly "rotted" away but if you sit them on carpet or almost anywhere after they are older they tend to stick and get carpet fibers stuck to them, leave a mark on the carpet and my real old Limbsaver got misshapen. Now the only thing I thought they had going for them at this point is I felt less perceived recoil with them versus the decelerator. That is not enough however for me to buy another. A final note, I found them harder to shape to the correct size versus the decelerator.

Limbsaver has replaced some of the gooey pads, I was told they were not boiled long enough.

I have Limbsavers on Encore stocks and my recent Boyds stock has the upgraded Limbsaver. No issues so far with the Limbsaver on the Boyds stock and the Encores are fine. The upgraded Boyds Limbsaver is of a different design then whats on the Encore though. The Boyds Limbsaver looks just like the Decellerator thats on my other Boyds.

Like Shilen barrels, Nikon scopes and Limbsaver pads.. Jeff.
