Sky's the limit. What do you want it to do?
Does that model use modules? Does the gun come with them?

been thinkin bout it ..... deer hunter at heart .......not much on killin paper only for familiarization purposes . Now that im able to hunt some nice food plots my itch is to shootem at a distance ....300 yrds . Funny thing is they still want to crowd me less than hundred . so a very accurate 300 yrd gun , sabotless ,45 cal .
Im just not familiar with all the options with a savage from stock to ignition to barrel

I had both: like the ML-2 more. The modules always leaked. Velocity of ML-2 appx 100'/sec more with same load. Lots of mis-fires with 10-ML.

Some are looking for the MLIs. Should be able to move it easily enough. I thought Jon once was looking for one.

I think Jon already found one.
They used to be popular as a poor mans benchrest action. You can do the 3rd pillar right in the center and then "pin" a steel one-piece scope mount and have a pretty competitive short action.
You said it was straight 209s, no modules? Maybe someone already did the conversion bolthead and then looked for a take off large shank barrel (the last few runs of 10ML-IIs were large shank) and you would be set-up for 209s.

If you decide to flip it let me know I'm doing a build on one and would like a oem to keep. I found one but it was out of my price range. If it has a lugged action it was converted as Ken said. If no lugs it may be an early ML2.

Easy to do if you're not familiar with them.
