Steve, fine looking deer n Son & DIL. So slufoot is who i get to do the conversion. Curious has anyone used RL7 powder? I have abit over a can of it. I will be looking for a mild load n accuracy at 75 yds.

I will be looking for a mild load n accuracy at 75 yds. Yes slufoot does the 45/70 conversion done. Along with rl7 has been used as a powder I believe it's comparable to 4198. Slufoot does the conversion under $150 with a supplied savage breech plug. I'd recommend the bushing plug.
