Got a small 8 point 11/3/2014. !00yds,no tracking high shoulder shot.140lbs 250 sst-N110/15grs under H322/60 grs. Pac-nor 45 cal.

Herman, since you mentioned the high shoulder shot and there's no exit, how did the bullet do on the bone? I assume it fragged pretty well? Hard to argue with the result though

Sorry rangeball,Didn't dress it.
I just loaded it on truck and off to the processor.Been using the 200 and 250 sst's since getting a savage years ago and they always work for me. Only shot one with the barnes 195 and it took 3 days to find it. Pencil through at 100yds just behind the shoulder,no blood at all.18 in wide 8 point.

Herman: Although I like the Barnes 195s the 200SSTs have dropped the deer quicker and are a bit more accurate. Similar to what you have found it appears.

Nicely done Herman, can't argue with the effectiveness of high shoulder shot placement. I am hoping to find out tomorrow how the 250 FTX performs--but the deer are pretty scarce here in Henry Co.(about like Unicorns from my scouting)
