If a Model 700 Rem has no "BDL" or "ADL" designation. How do you know what you have? Wood stock, checkered, blued barrel. Plain Jane but nice.

ADL has a blind magazine.
BDL has a hinged floorplate. Later model have the black end cap on the stock.

Could be a Classic also if it is an American Classic stock and has a floor plate mag.

No floor plate. Have to cycle all rounds out. A guy at work won it in a raffle a few years ago and was asking me how to tell what he had and what it might be worth. It's a .270 and never been fired. The rear of the receiver is lower than the front by an 1/8" or so and is also slightly belled. Not sure what kind of mounts it would take. On the barrel it only says REM 700

It will take mounts made for the Remington 700 Long action. Jeff.

Sounds like an ADL and as stated above would take bases made for a long action model 700. There are several brands/styles available.
