Is there such a thing to help make up volume without affecting main load performance?
My brother uses a press in plug in his h&r buffalo classic for my 7 and 5 year old nephew. Great shooting low recoil load of 22gr load of n110 with a 225gr sabotless bullet works well, but when loading its apparent by feel the base of the bullet is exiting the bore a bit into space between the top of the plug and the chamber of the bore. If at all possible I'd like to find a way to keep the bullet in the bore without upping the charge.
Any ideas?

The BPCR old timers used plain old Cream of Wheat, uncooked of course.

Did some googling after posting that last night, looks like cream of wheat, corn meal, dacron fiber fill, cotton balls, etc.
Cotton balls should do and are readily available. We'll probably give them a shot.

Nut or corn cop tumbling media works good too. Might try oatmeal too. I have used all above and these at times too. 10
