I just received some sabots and noticed there are numbers molded into them. These are mmp hph 24's. Does the number signify the machine that molded them and if so why would I not get all the same numbers in the bag? Wouldn't consistency be more likely if they were all from the same machine on the same day?

It's a cavity number, it identifies which cavity in the mold the piece came out of. If the mold starts screwing up it helps maintenance guys figure out whats wrong.

You can also tell by stamp if they are rough hand engraved hph-12 thicker sabot and hph-24 stencil stamp crisp and clear thinner. .002 load difference.
