Went to the range today and shot my CVA Wolf 50 cal. rifle. Was shooting T.C. 250 Gr. XTP. At 50 yds, had a nice tight group. At 75 yds, they still gave a good group however slightly larger. Moved back to the 100 yd target. Bullets went everywhere. Repeated shooting at the same yardage and targets. Same results. Was wondering if my rifle just doesn't like T.C. XTP bullets? Had shot Powerbelt bullets earlier and they did good. What does anyone else think about this performance?

I found out years ago that my shorter barreled rifle was load sensitive, over a certain charge it would throw them every where. if shooting loose back off the charge if pellets try loose

Was shooting 100 gr of 2F BP. Will drop it down to 80 or 90 Gr. and see how it does. Thanks again Vearl

Barrel heat messing with sabot integrity? Never thought about retrieving and looking at the spent sabot. Will do that on my next range session. Thanks for that tip.
