I dont walk well anymore after an accident but cant stop deer hunting. i need to stop a deer in his tracks. have a well made 45 cal smokeless ml tell me what to shoot what powder, wad,and bullet type and setup. thankyou for any and all info homebrook

If legal in your state it's hard to beat a 195bx in a harvester smooth blue sabot on top of 58-62gr of H4198 (or one of the temp stable duplexes). If you can shoot them sabotless, a 250gr or 300gr barnes TEZ will also hammer them. I suspect the 310gr APB will do well on a high shoulder shot, thicker jacket and enough mass that even if it comes apart the deer should be hurting plenty, but you'd need a FF die to shoot it. Perhaps the 300 or 327gr MH will as well. Lots of good single and duplex loads posted here for these bullets.

I have got an exit hole on everything I have shot and a huge exit hole at that. May lose some meat if you shoot them in the shoulder but they won't go far.

yes the Match Hunters of all weights are good deer anchors, run after a shot? maybe but not far at all. all I have shot, 20 yds max and most much less..
