WELL I FOUND A GUNSMITH HERE IN INDIANA THAT I WAS LOOKING FOR AND TOOK THE KNIGHT DOWN TO HIM AND HE SHORTENED THE BARREL TO 251/2 INCHES.HE DID IT WHILE I WAS THERE AND WAITED FOR IT. HIS IDEA.AND HE RECROWNED THE BARREL.NOW,DID I DO ANYTHING WRONG AND HOW MUCH VELOCITY AND ACCURACY WILL I LOSE? IT SURE FEELS BETTER AND HANDLES GREAT.

I do not know how long the barrel was to start but that length is still more than adequate. Should not be a problem there. Accuracy should not be an issue as long as the crown work was done well. Just shoot it and find out, you might be pleasantly surprised.
