Hello all, with my SLML on orderI have been looking around for info on 700ML actions and their fitment in Rem 700CF stocks and the use of CF trigger guards with them. I want to run a Bell & Carlson medalist M40 stock, however that stock utilizes a hinged floor plate type trigger guard. My assumptions are it will work but I just want to verify before I make my purchases. I would assume that I can use that stock with my ML action, then just remove the spring assembly for the hinged floor plate? Possibly cut a foam insert to hold primers like the new 700ML? Any and all advise is appreciated! Thank you!

The new 700ml stole a board members idea for the foam insert and yes you can use the bdl stocks for the 700ml action. Only downfall is the extra 80-100 for bottom metal.

I was not aware of them stealing that. Still very new with muzzleloaders and especially remington 700's. Whom ever it was, it was a great idea! I do appreciate your input. Like mentioned, the only thing that sucks is the need to purchase the hinged trigger guard.

I like how HillBill made a compartment for extra loads in my builds he did for me...Depending on the contour of your barrel there might be ADL/no bottom metal stocks that you could use....
